| 417.5 BHP 944 TURBO!! Thought to be the UK's most powerfull Porsche 944 Turbo!! March 2008 | ||

On the 7th of March 2008 JMG recorded what is thought to be the UK's highest verified BHP (Break horse Power) and Torque figure from a 944 Turbo with a standard engine. 417.5 BHP from a 944 Turbo with a standard (other than uprated head gasket) engine with approaching 100,000 miles on it! The car then proceeded to drive to Athens and back without issue.... 417.5 reliable horsepower from a 2.5 standard engine and its a cabriolet! |

Every year we try to have at least a couple of open days where Porsche enthusiasts, club members or anyone interested can turn up, eat some great food, talk about their cars, look at each others cars and even win prizes for their cars! Porsche & 911 World magazine were amazed when they found out that we at JMG had managed to build the worlds largest capacity Porsche 944 turbo engine. Before people had enlarged the engine to 2.7, 2.8 or even 3.0. We too had built these engines. But the world said it was impossible to go any bigger than 3.0... So we decided to make a 3.2 engine!! The customer loved it and so did the magazine!! | |

Those who already know us will already know that for the previous year we have been desperately looking for new premesis. The criteria was quite tricky and we didnt want to rush into anywhere that wasnt going to be perfect... Well we found the perfect location, just the right size, right next to a main line train station (station platform within 100 feet of our workshop!) and we have now completed moving in!!! So why not pop along to have a look at the new place! | |

JMG are well known for our special request cars that we build for customers. Back in the 1990's Porsche made a very limited run of Porsche 968 Turbo cars and even fewer 968 Turbo S cars, using a 3.0 version of the 8 valve 944 Turbo engine. So when one of our customers asked us to convert his 3.0 16 valve 968 into a race built 968 Turbo, we did just that and now its done!!! | |

Everyone said it could not be done... So we did it to prove everyone wrong.. A 3.2 944 turbo engine (We can actually build a 3.4 if anyone wanted one!) for one of our customers... He had a 944 Turbo that had just suffered engine failure and wanted something "interesting" we wanted to prove a point... So the 3.2 944 turbo was born!!! (edit: June 2008 and its still going strong and another 2 have been built!) | |

When someone wants a Porsche race car, there is only really one choice... JMG This customer had tried other specialists and he kept suffering engine failures and was never at the front of the grid. So we inserted a 2.8 turbo race engine along with some other improvements. | |
| JMG BUILD TUNED 944 Tubro Race car! May 2006 | ||

JMG once again have turned dissaster attempt by another Porsche specialist into a fast race car! Our customer had paid a heap of money to another Porsche specialist to build him a race car and it never managed to complete an entire race without going wrong, being slow or falling apart.. (not a very race car like activity!). So we rebuilt the car to JMG standards from the ground up and guess what?? Another happy customer!! (Edit: June 2007 - The car is still going strong, now being raced in Ireland!) | |
