The Porsche 944 model range started production in 1982 with the 2.5 8 valve 944. Sold in the UK as the 944 Lux (by the addition of alloy wheels, electric windows, electric mirrors and sunroof as standard). The 944 S2 entered production in 1989 with production running until the 1993 with the introduction of the Porsche 968.

The 944 S2 models benefitted from the same body, trim, suspension and brakes as used on the 944 Turbo models. The later 944 S2 models from 1991 onwards also benefitted from the same tailgate design as was to be used on the Porsche 968 with what is known as the "bridge spoiler" and a more modern rear wiper design.

Producing over 200 BHP and masses of torque, mixed with near 50/50 weight distribution to produce excellent handling, the 944S2 was an instant hit with customers around the world and enjoys near to zero depreciation due to demand for these cars from deserning customers seeking a sports car with good looks, excellent handling, reliability and excellent performance. In fact the JMG prediction is that 944s in comming years will appreciate in value.

Jon initially intended on keeping this car in his personal collection as an excellent example of a 944S2. Due to this the workshop performed many hours of work perfecting every aspect of this car to future proof it against future problems.

Tasks performed included replacement of the torque tube, clutch, brakes, belts, waterpump, front engine oil seals, suspension components and much more.

However due to there already being several concours condition 944's in this collection the sad decision was made to let this car go, for the right price, along with a few other cars in the collection, to add diversity to the collection.

During its time in the JMG collection this car also benefitted from being used as on of Jon's personal cars and covered over 1000 miles. During this extended road test, Jon rectified any last remaining minor niggles to the point that we are confident that this car will pass any inspection with flying colours.

The pictures above of this car may well not do it full justice as we are in the process of a complete detail and prep of the car ready for its sale.

Just like all JMG sales cars, this Porsche is provided with a no quibble warranty with no exclusions included in the price. (terms and conditions available on request)

Not only this.. As with all JMG cars they are offered with custom options at additional price. You want a performance chip or exhaust? Speedline split rim alloys? or indeed any of the optional modifications from our "modification" pages...No problem!

To enquire about this car, please call 01202 488800 where we will be happy to tell you more.
